How do I remove SafeFinder's customized Web Search?

Click the Gear icon next to the browser address bar.

Select “Manage Add-Ons”.

Choose “Search Providers” in the left side of the screen.

Set a different search provider as default.
Mozilla Firefox users

Type about:config into the location bar and press enter.

Accept the warning message that appears (“I’ll be careful, I Promise!”), you will be taken to a list of preferences.

In the filter box type keyword.url.
-
Double click that entry (or right click and choose “Modify”).

Type in the name of the search engine you wish to have as the default search engine (make sure that the search engine is a one that you already have installed).
Google Chrome users

Click ‘customize & control Google Chrome’ icon which appears at the end of the address bar.

Select Settings, Click "manage search engines".

Select the search engine you want to use as your default search engine.

Click the Make default button that appears in the row.

Select the Web Search from the list.

Click the X that appears at the end of the row.
• If your Default Web Search is still not what you wanted:
1. Click the settings icon next to the browser address bar
2. Select Settings
3. Go to the Extensions Tab
4. Click on the trash icon (called: “remove from Chrome”) at the end of the line of the extension
you wish to remove.
